In harsh environments such as ships, offshore platforms, and port equipment with high salt spray, high humidity, and strong vibration, ordinary cable glands are prone to leakage or failure due to corrosion and aging. Marine Cable Gland is designed for marine environments through breakthroughs in material science and structural design. It provides IP68/IP69K protection level to ensure the sealing, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability of cable connections. It is a core component for scenarios such as ship power systems, offshore wind power equipment, and oil platforms.
Marine Cable Gland: Electrical sealing solution for marine environment
316 stainless steel: passed the 1000-hour salt spray test (ASTM B117 standard), the surface passivation treatment forms a dense oxide film, and the resistance to seawater salt spray corrosion is 3 times that of ordinary stainless steel.
Fluororubber (FKM): temperature range - 60℃~+200℃, resistant to crude oil, hydraulic oil and other media, the volume expansion rate is <5% after immersion in 200℃ hot oil for 5000 hours, suitable for scenes such as engine rooms and oil pipelines.
Perfluoroether rubber (FFKM): temperature resistance - 20℃~+260℃, resistant to 1600+ chemical media (including strong acids and alkalis).
Brass nickel plating: lightweight design, suitable for freshwater environment, surface nickel layer thickness ≥5μm, resistant to salt spray corrosion (no rust for 500 hours).

How to choose a sealing sleeve suitable for seawater environment?
316 stainless steel housing + fluororubber (FKM) sealing ring is preferred. Its salt spray corrosion resistance is better than brass material, and there is no risk of rust in long-term use in seawater.
Is IP69K protection level suitable for high-pressure water gun flushing?
Yes, IP69K can withstand 80℃, 80-100bar high-pressure steam flushing, which is suitable for daily cleaning of port equipment and ship decks.
Is preheating required for installation in - 40℃ environment?
Fluororubber sealing sleeves remain elastic at - 40℃ and can be installed directly; if the cable needs to be bent frequently, it is recommended to choose a model with a hinged housing (such as PG21 specification) to reduce stress concentration.
