UV Stabilized Cable Tie
UV Stabilized Cable Ties (also known as UV-resistant ties) are high-performance fasteners specifically engineered for long-term outdoor use. While standard nylon ties can become brittle and snap within months under direct sunlight, UV-stabilized versions are chemically modified to withstand the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation.
UV Resistance: These ties are infused with Carbon Black (at least 2%), which absorbs ultraviolet light and prevents it from breaking down the polymer chains of the nylon.
Material: Most are made from Nylon 66 (PA66). For extreme chemical or weather resistance, some premium versions use Nylon 12.
Weatherability: Designed to handle constant exposure to rain, wind, and intense sun without losing tensile strength.
Service Life: High-quality UV-stabilized ties are designed to last 5 to 10 years outdoors, whereas standard ties often fail in less than a year.
