What is the expected lifespan of your nylon fasteners in extreme outdoor environments? How can aging and cracking be prevented?

This is a question many outdoor engineering contractors are most concerned about. Our nylon fasteners are made from modified PA66 nylon raw material, with the special addition of UV stabilizers (anti-ultraviolet agents).

Weather resistance: In regular outdoor environments (-40℃ to 100℃), the designed service life is 8-10 years. Compared to ordinary recycled plastics, it will not yellow, become brittle, or crack naturally within 1-2 years due to sun and rain exposure.

Harsh environments: For coastal areas with high salt spray or environments with chemical acid and alkali corrosion, PA66 has natural chemical inertness, effectively preventing the casing from being corroded. We recommend choosing for areas with extremely strong ultraviolet radiation.

Can IP65 protection completely replace IP68 in practical installations? Is there a risk during heavy rain?

IP65 rating is sufficient for most outdoor, non-submersible environments.

Protection Explanation: IP65 means "water jet resistant," meaning that water sprayed from any direction onto the sealed enclosure will not cause harmful effects. This covers almost all heavy rain and hurricane-force weather conditions in nature.

Sealing Structure: Our sealing rings use EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, a material with excellent compression set resistance. Even when the cable is subjected to stress and movement, the sealing ring remains tightly fitted to the cable sheath, ensuring that rainwater does not seep into the cabinet through the gaps.
