At low temperatures (below approximately -20°C), nylon materials become less flexible and more susceptible to brittle cracking during installation. At elevated temperatures (above 70–85°C depending on formulation), the material may experience creep deformation under constant tensile load, gradually reducing bundle tightness.

 

Can weather resistant cable ties be used in chemical environments?

It depends on the chemical type and exposure duration. Nylon 6.6 generally resists oils and some hydrocarbons, but strong acids, phenols, or oxidizing chemicals may attack the polymer structure and reduce tensile strength.
